Project period: 2025 | Locations: Dubai, UAE and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Building Secure, Connected IT Operations Across Two Countries
A regional organisation required a coordinated technology upgrade across its operations in Dubai and Riyadh. The engagement combined two closely related priorities: strengthening cybersecurity controls for users, cloud services and business data, and delivering the physical infrastructure needed for reliable office and data-centre operations.
The client’s identity is withheld because public use of its name has not been authorised. This case study is based on the project records completed during 2025, with commercial values, addresses, document references and personal details removed.
The Challenge
The organisation was expanding its regional operations and needed its cyber controls and physical infrastructure to work as one system. The environment included Microsoft 365, Windows servers, workstations, cloud services, remote support requirements and a growing number of users across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
- Protect privileged administrator accounts and sensitive credentials.
- Improve visibility across servers, endpoints and Microsoft 365 activity.
- Apply consistent endpoint security and administration.
- Protect internet access, email and business data from malware, phishing and data leakage.
- Establish dependable backup coverage for users and workloads.
- Build and relocate network infrastructure with organised cabling and documentation.
- Coordinate secure delivery of equipment from Dubai to Riyadh.
- Verify network, wireless, CCTV, access control, UPS and related systems after installation.
The Cybersecurity Solution
Privileged access management
An on-premises privileged access management platform was implemented for administrator access, credentials and cryptographic keys, together with configuration and administrator training.
Centralised security logging
Centralised log management covered Windows servers, workstations and Microsoft 365. This gave the technical team a clearer way to investigate events, review administrative activity and identify suspicious patterns across systems.
Endpoint administration and security
A cloud-managed endpoint platform was deployed for approximately 200 computers, with implementation, configuration and training so administration could be handled consistently from a central console.
Backup, secure internet and data protection
The solution included cloud backup for users and supported workloads, scalable storage, secure internet access, web filtering, malware inspection, SSL inspection, application visibility, firewall controls and reporting. Data protection policies supported sensitive information across endpoints, email and cloud applications.
Email protection and remote support
Advanced email security strengthened spam and malware filtering, attachment and link protection, encryption, anti-phishing controls, account-takeover protection and automated remediation. An enterprise remote-support platform with single sign-on and audit capabilities enabled accountable technical assistance.
The Data Centre and Network Infrastructure Solution
Rack and power infrastructure
TLS IT Solutions supplied and installed a 42U enterprise rack with vertical cable management, protective covers, fixed shelves and a metered rack power distribution unit. Existing rack equipment was carefully removed, transported and reinstalled where required.
Switching and wireless network
The project included cloud-managed Layer 3 PoE switches and Wi-Fi 6 access points with enterprise licensing and support. New switches and access points were mounted, configured and tested, while approved existing equipment was relocated and recommissioned.
Structured cabling
The CAT6 cabling scope included patch panels, patch cords, faceplates and cable managers. Cable pulling, punching, termination, testing and labelling created an organised and supportable network foundation.
Physical security and workplace systems
The deployment incorporated IP CCTV cameras and multi-factor access-control terminals. Existing cameras and access-control devices were relocated and integrated with the wider environment. Meeting-room displays, TVs, a PA system and UPS equipment were also installed or recommissioned as part of the wider move.
Dubai-to-Riyadh logistics
The project required secure shipment of equipment from Dubai to Riyadh, including customs clearance, handling, documentation, electronic data processing, X-ray procedures and SABER-related documentation. Coordinating logistics with the technical schedule helped keep equipment available for installation in Saudi Arabia.
Implementation and Verification
- Discovery and design: Review users, workloads, sites, existing systems and security priorities.
- Solution planning: Define security platforms, licences, rack layout, networking, cabling and physical-security requirements.
- Configuration: Prepare policies, identity integration, endpoints, switching, wireless networking and supporting systems.
- Deployment and relocation: Install new equipment and carefully move approved existing infrastructure.
- Testing: Verify connectivity, wireless coverage, server access, CCTV feeds, access control, UPS, PA and display systems.
- Handover: Provide training, knowledge transfer, configuration records and as-built documentation where included.
The Outcome
The completed programme provided a unified foundation for regional operations. Cybersecurity controls covered identities, privileged access, endpoints, internet traffic, email, business data and backup. The data-centre and office infrastructure provided organised rack capacity, managed switching, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, structured cabling and integrated physical-security systems.
Central consoles, consistent policies, labelled cabling and documented configurations gave the technical team clearer visibility and a stronger basis for future expansion.
Why the Combined Approach Matters
Cybersecurity and infrastructure depend on each other. Security tools need stable networks, controlled identities, dependable endpoints and reliable backups. Data-centre and office infrastructure also need monitoring, access control, secure administration and clear operational ownership. Coordinating both areas reduced gaps between the physical environment and the security architecture.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can TLS IT Solutions deliver projects in both the UAE and Saudi Arabia?
TLS IT Solutions can plan and coordinate regional IT infrastructure projects involving equipment, deployment services and cross-border logistics, subject to each location’s requirements.
What can be included in a data-centre or server-room setup?
A project may include racks, power distribution, switching, wireless networking, structured cabling, patch panels, cable management, UPS integration, security systems, testing and documentation.
Can cybersecurity be included with an infrastructure deployment?
Yes. Cybersecurity can be planned alongside physical infrastructure, including privileged access, endpoint management, security logging, secure internet access, data loss prevention, email security, backup and remote-support controls.
Can an existing office or rack be relocated?
Yes. A relocation plan can cover equipment identification, safe removal, transport, reinstallation, cable management, configuration checks and post-move testing.
